Govt is working to overcome energy crisis: Minister

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Inter-provincial Coordination Riaz Hussain Pirzada has said the government has evolved strategy to work on short and long-term energy projects to overcome the energy crisis.

Talking to Radio Pakistan, he said that as far as projects of short term are concerned, Prime Minister's policy is aimed at shifting furnace oil based power plants to coal.

On long-term basis, the government is carrying out hydle power projects to generate 50,000 Megawatts electricity, he added.
