Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Four ships carrying containers, chemical, diesel oil and edible oil were berthed at Qasim international Containers Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Sunday.

Meanwhile six more ships carrying containers, cement, chemical and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 65% at the port on Monday where total seven ships namely Alliance Richmond, MSC Levina, Visha Vikas, Cardinal, Atlantic Glory, Al Salam II and Atlantic Miracle are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat urea, chemical, diesel oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 55569 tonnes comprising 42969 tonnes imports and 12600 tonnes export inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1058 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
