Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, ge. cargo and chemical were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminals on Thursday.

Meanwhile two more ships carrying furnace oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of port qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55% at the port on Friday where total six ships namely Hammonia Pacificum, Thorco Atlantic, Visha Vikas, Cardinal, Chem Road Haya and Malhari are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, g.cargo wheat, urea, chemical and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 48915 tonnes comprising 39612 tonnes imports and 9303 tonnes export inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 876 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
