Power shortfall eases to 1,600 MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country eased to 1,600 MW on Thursday as the total generation was recorded as 9,000 MW against the demand of 10,600 MW at 0900 hours.

According to daily data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 3,030 MW, Thermal 1,760 and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 4,210 MW.
