He was talking to a group of media persons here on Sunday afternoon.

‘There is complete consensus on important national issues among the political parties in the best interest of the country by setting aside political differences,’ he maintained.

Rabbani said that during the present regime the Parliament has proved that all state institutions were working under it and were answerable to it.

‘It is for the second time during the tenure of the present government that the top leadership of the Army and the ISI gave briefing to the members of the Parliament,’ he added.

‘Now it is also the time that the US should listen to the voice of the Pakistani and elected legislators,’ he added.

Rabbani said the house was unanimous that there would be no compromise on the sovereignty of the country and national security would remain its top priority.
