Power shortfall eases to 2,000 MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country eased to 2,000 MW on Tuesday as the total generation was recorded as 9,500 MW against the demand of 11,500 MW at 0900 hours.

According to daily data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 3,340 MW, Thermal 1,780 and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 4,380 MW.
