Meanwhile five more ships carrying containers, chemical, furnace oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55 percent at the port on Thursday where total six ships namely CGM Puccini, white Hawk, Maple Crown, Visha Vikas Thor Harmony and Feng Hai 32 are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement/steel, coke breez, wheat, uroa and edible oil respectively during 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 45818 tonnes comprising 28440 tonnes imports and 17378 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 992 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
