Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships C.V Tulie Delmas, C.V Hartland Point and MT Semua Perdana carrying containers and chemicals were allotted berths at Qasim international Container Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Sunday,

Berth occupancy was observed at the Port 57% on Sunday where a total of nine ships namely C.V Tulie Delmas, C.V Hartland Point, C.V Maersk Denver, M.V Anna Maria, M.V Thor Harmony, M.V White Hawk, M.V Maple Crown, M.T Atlantic Glory and M.T Semua Perdana are currently occupying at PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, steel coil, wheat, fertilizer and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 42974 tonnes, comprises 37426 tonnes imports and 5548 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 616 containers (TEUs) (324 imports and 292 exports TEUs) were handled at the port.

Container Vessel 'Hartland Point' sailed out to sea on Monday morning while three more ships C.V Maersk Denver, M.T Atlantic Glory and M.T Semua Perdana are expected to sail on same day afternoon.

Two ships C.V Maersk Denver and C.V Nysted Maersk carrying containers are expected to take berths at QICT on Monday, while another ship C.V Fow Airet is due to arrive at Port Qasim on Tuesday.
