KSE slips below 12,000 level on selling

Abbas Zahoor, a dealer said that market was opened with a bullish note, but slipped on heavy selling which continued till the close.

The turnover volume was low at 64.353 million shares as 94 scrips advanced while 156 sustained losses and 115 remained unchanged.

The market capitalization was eroded by Rs 19 billion to Rs 3.176 trillion.

Jahangir Siddiqui was the volume leader with a turnover of 9.439 million shares followed by Azgard Nine 8.722 million shares, Bank Al- Falah 6.716 million shares, D G Khan Cement (R) 4.788 million shares and Lotte Pak 3.388 million shares.

D G Khan Cement closed at 22.75, Lotte Pak 15.56, Jahangir Siddiqui 6.87, Bank Al-Falah 10.77 and FFBL 41.74.

Bata Pak recorded the highest increase of Rs 11.80 to 437.46 followed by Fazal Textile which moved up by 11.05 to 300 while Nestle Pak dipped by Rs 73.92 to 3525.56 and Unilever Pak went down by Rs 8.21 to 5177.18.
