Power shortfall again jumps to 3,900MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country on Thursday again jumped to 3,900MW from 3,450MW as the total generation was recorded as 12,100MW against the demand of 16,000MW at 0900 hours.

According to daily data released by National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 4,290 MW, Thermal 1,660 and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 6,150 MW.
