KU annual convocation to be held in July

This was decided at the meeting of the Convocation Committee on Tuesday with Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Dr Pirzada Qasim Siddiqui in the chair.

An official of the University said that the meeting was attended among others by the Pro Vice-Chancellors- Prof r. Shahana Urooj Kazmi and Prof Dr Nasiruddin Khan, Deans of faculties and chairmen of the teaching departments.

Speaking on the occasion Pirzada Qasim said that the convocation would consist of two batches of 2009 and 2010.

He further stated that some 6,000 graduating students would be conferred degrees while 200 would be awarded gold medals.

It was decided in a meeting that in view of Ramzan ul Mubarak, the holding of the convocation would be ensured in the last week of July.

However, in case of any change in schedule, the event would be organized by the end of September.
