Power shortfall surges to 3,300 MW

ISLAMABAD: The power shortfall in the country on Tuesday surged to 3,300 MW as the total generation was recorded as 12,500 MW against the demand of 15,800 MW at 1000 hours.

According to the daily data released by the National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDC), the hydel generation stood at 5,300 MW, thermal 1,650 and Independent Power Producers (IPPs) 5,550 MW.
