Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying container and diesel oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Sunday.

Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 65% at the port on Monday where total seven ships namely Maersk Pitts Burgh, Alam Manis, King Fortune, Tamil Nadu, Chem Pegasus, Al Salam II and Bunga Akasia are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, general cargo, fertilizer, chemical, diesel oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 53612 tonnes comprising 50777 tonnes imports and 2535 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 528 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
