Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Sunday.

Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers, cement and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Birth occupancy was 55% at the port on Monday where a total six ships namely Maersk Detroit, MSC Clementina, Diamond Star, Ince Bey Lereby, M.T Karachi and Chem Road Fuji are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 95778 tonnes comprising 70683 tonnes imports and 25095 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2247 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
