Four more dengue cases confirmed in Lahore

LAHORE: Four more dengue cases surfaced in Lahore on Saturday with the positive tests of fresh patients at Mayo Hospital and Jinnah Hospital, raising the number of patients to 58 in the province.

According to Health department, the surge in the disease has been linked with the torrential rains and accumulated water following rains. Four more dengue patients were brought to Mayo Hospital and Jinnah Hospital in Lahore on Saturday.

As of November 2011, the disease had killed over 300 people and over 14,000 were infected by this mosquito-borne disease. Majority of the people infected were from Lahore.
