Director Mathew Vaughn – best known for his productions ‘Kick-Ass’ and ‘X-Men: First Class’ is excited to direct this movie which will be a film adaptation of Mark Millar’s spy-thriller novel The Secret Service. Vaughn is reportedly looking for some high-profile names outside the acting world to turn the film into a mega-money franchise. Former football-player David Beckham and the English performer Elton John might also appear in the film, though their roles are not yet confirmed.
The film will be a loyal adaptation of Millar’s classic spy-thriller based on the storyline of the world’s smartest secret agent who is on the run to find the link between a series of kidnapped science-fiction stars, sudden death of an entire town and the dark secrets from inside the Mount Everest. After the secret spy in a team with his street-punk nephew learns about the reasons behind celebrity kidnappings, the conspiracy unravels.
Adele, who recently won an Oscar for her song “Skyfall” – the theme song for the latest James Bond adventure of the same name. She also recently did a cameo in ABC Entertainment’s ‘Ugly Betty’ and looks pretty enthusiastic about her role in ‘The Secret Service’.
The film will go into production later this year and is expected to hit the screens in 2014.
