The sensational boy-band One Direction came out on top and
stole the show with their stand out performance at the 14th annual Teen
Choice Awards. The event was held in California
on Sunday, as the biggest names in music, films and TV gathered at the Gibson
Amphitheater.

The British band was the highlight of the show as they
scooped not one, not two but four major awards, including Choice Summer Tour,
Choice Group, Choice Single for "Live While We're Young" and Choice
Love Song for "Little Things". They stole the limelight as the band
also opened the ceremony with the debut of their new Single “Best Song Ever”.

With a huge number of categories which honor everything from
best scene stealer to best on-screen chemistry there were some big names
nominated including Rihanna, Pitbull, Ashton Kutcher and Justin Bieber. Whereas
David Beckham, Anne Hathaway, Miley Cyrus, Sandra Bullock and Jim Parsons of
the Big Bang Theory were also named winners.

The event was co-hosted by “Pretty Little Lairs” star Lucy
Hale and Darren Criss of Glee and also featured dazzling performances by Paramore, Florida
Georgia Line
and Demi Lovato. Late Glee star Cory Monteith was also honored by a tribute
performance at the event.

Successful concerts tours, major awards and best-selling
albums has proved that One Direction has secured a special place in the hearts
of millions of teens and are here to stay!
