Punjab PPP President Imtiaz Safdar Warriach led the rally, while labour bureau leaders including PPP Punjab General Secretary Samiullah Khan, Naveed Chaudhary, MPA Ashraf Khan Sohna, Ch.Aghar Ali Gujjar and Malik Ehtesham along with hundreds of workers and labourers participated in the rally that started from Railway Station and culminated at Lahore Press Club.
Labour Bureau leaders paid rich tributes to the services of their leader Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for the rights of the labourers.
They lauded the efforts of President Asif Zardari, Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani for repealing the black laws against the labour class.
Imtiaz Safdar Warriach while addressing the rally said that Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto led the oppressed classes of the country for getting their rights and the PPP-led government was following his mission today.
He said that PPP restored thousands of workers on their jobs and regularized thousands of workers of Steel Mill, Civil Aviation Authority and other departments, while it also fixed job quota for disabled in various departments.
