South Africa's net reserves rise to $45.176bn in July

JOHANNESBURG: South Africa's net gold and foreign exchange reserves rose in July to $45.176 billion from $44.604 billion in June, data from the Reserve Bank showed on Wednesday.

Gross reserves were higher at $47.319 billion from $46.979 billion in June while the forward position, which represents the bank's unsettled spot or swap transactions, was up at $4.245 billion from $4.157 billion in June.
