India bonds recover losses on govt steps to help rupee

MUMBAI: India's benchmark bond recovered all losses to trade higher on Tuesday on hopes the government would soon take more steps to reduce the current account deficit and help the rupee recover from its record lows.

The 10-year bond yield was down 1 basis point at 8.19 percent, after rising to as high as 8.30 percent in early session.
