Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, cement, furnace oil and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Monday where a total six ships namely Maersk Pitts Burg, Alliance Faur Fax, Beacom-SW, Elini D, Bunga Kantandua and Sea Glory are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, wheat, urea, chemical and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 33125 tonnes comprising 29429 tonnes imports and 3696 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 441 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
