Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Tuesday, 30th July.

Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, diesel oil and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 85% at the Port on Wednesday where a total nine ships namely Nysted Maersk, Sealand Michigan, Deira, Orient Singapore, Beacom-SW, Elini D, Bunga Melatisatu, Donga Peneus and M.T Quetta are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, urea, chemical, edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 136293 tonnes comprising 102525 tonnes imports and 33768 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 3058 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
