LSE loses 79.08 point

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearish trend by losing 79.08 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5136.02 points and closed at 5056.94 points.

The overall market situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend with 5.785 million shares to close against previous turnover of 4.817 million shares, showing an upward move of 967,900 shares. While, out of the total 99 active scrips 27 moved up, 41 remained equal with 31 shed value. Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, MARI Petroleum Company and United Bank Limited were Major Gainer of day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 10.80, Rs 7.39 and 3.36 respectively.

Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Highnoon Laboratories Limited and Dawood Lawrencepur Limited lost their per share value by Rs 8.30, Rs 7.02 and Rs 4.30 respectively.

The Volume Leader of the Day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 1.290 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 1.003 million shares and NIB Bank Limited with 847,000 shares.
