Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Four ships carrying chemicals, urea and crude oil were berthed at Multi Purpose Terminal, FAP Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Terminal respectively on Sunday, 28th July, 2013. Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port on Monday where a total of seven ships namely Msc Kerry, Atlantic Glory, Beacom - SW, Elini D, Chem Road Wing, Bright Oil Legend and Argent Daisy are currently occupying berths to load/offload, containers, wheat, urea, chemical, crude oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 59661 tonnes comprising 48657 tonnes imports and 11004 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 668 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
