Former MQM MPA shot dead in Karachi

The victim was a member of provincial government back in 1997. MQM leader Altaf Hussain expressed great grief over his death.

According to sources, some unidentified assailants opened fire on him, while he was travelling through Abul Hassan Asfahani Road, leaving him terribly wounded.

He later on succumbed to his injuries, while he was being taken to Jinnah hospital. The doctors said after the autopsy the dead body would be transferred to his home.

Police and rangers have cordoned off the area.
