ADCG imposes Rs41,000 fine on profiteers

RAWALPINDI: Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Muhammad Ali Randhawa continued raids against profiteering and imposed fine amounting to Rs 41,000 on prfiteers.

The raids were conducted in various bazaars and the butchers and other shopkeepers who were found indulged in profiteering were imposed fines.

The shopkeepers in Saddar bazaar were imposed Rs 30,000 fine for profiteering while six butchers on Masrial Road were also imposed Rs 11,000 fine for overcharging and selling unhygienic and unhealthy meat. The unhealthy meat was also discarded by the raiding team.

According to ADCG, the raids would continue for the whole month of Ramazan to ensure the provision of daily use items on controlled rates.
