Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships C.V CMA CGM Bellini and M.T Argent Cosmos carrying containers and palm oil were allotted berths at Qasim International Container Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively at Port Qasim on Wednesday, 17 July.

Meanwhile two more ships with containers and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was maintained at the Port at 28 percent on Wednesday where four ships namely C.V CMA CGM Bellini, M.T Argent Cosmos, M.V Outrivaling and M.T Stolt Ngami are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, palm oil, iron ore and phosphoric acid respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume 52,423 tonnes comprises 39,009 tonnes imports and 13,414 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,656 containers (TEUs) ( 950 imports and 706 exports (TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Two ships C.V CMA CGM Bellini and M.T Stolt Ngami sailed out to sea on Thursday morning.

Four ships C.V Hammonia Pacificum and M.T Al-Soor-II carrying containers and diesel oil are expected to take berths at QICT and FOTCO respectively on Thursday, 18th July, 2013.
