Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: One ship arrived at the Port to offload phosphoric acid at EVTL on July 13, port sources said here Sunday.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 50% at the Port on Saturday where a total of seven ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican Bey- Powership, M.V Faith, M.V Sofia, M.V MSC Kerry, M.V Out Rivaling-2, M.T Al- Salam- II, M.T Ginga Tiger are currently occupying berths to load/ offload cement, containers, diesel oil, phosphoric acid.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume of 87629 tonnes comprising 58254 tonnes import and 29375 tonnes export- 2160 (TUES) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.

M.T Al Salam-II sailed on Saturday afternoon.

M.T Atlantic Glory, M.T Cape Durango, M.V Maersk Detroit arrived on July 14, 2013 as per arrival schedule, the sources said.
