Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers and furnace oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal and FOTCO Terminal on Wednesday, 10th July.

Meanwhile four more ships carrying containers, iron ore and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Thursday where a total six ships namely CGM Puccini, M.V Faith, M.T Sofia, Theresa Libra, Wan Zhou Xian and M.T Akaki are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, furnace oil and edible oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 63680 tonnes comprising 44793 tonnes imports and 18887 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 815 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
