Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers, cement and edible oil were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal on Wednesday, 3rd July. Meanwhile three more ships carrying containers and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port on Thursday where a total seven ships namely CGM Wagner, M.V Faith, Vindo Nissa, Argent Eye Bright, Stolt Helluland, Pearl Jabel Ali, and M.T Lahore are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, edible oil, phosphoric acid, iron ore and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 81735 tonnes comprising 69378 tonnes imports and 12357 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 873 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
