LSE downs by 14.19 points

LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday as it shed 14.19 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4397.58 and closed at 4383.39 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.744 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.218 million shares, showing a downward slide of 473,380 shares. While, out of the total 87 active scrips 29 moved up, 37 remined equal with 21 shed values.

Lucky Cement Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Nishat Power Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 5.07, Rs 2.10 and Rs 1.10 respectively.

Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 9.47, Rs 6.07 and Rs 5.22 respectively.

The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 434,000 shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 222,000 shares and Worldcall Telecom Limited with 187,000 shares.
