Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ship arrived at Port Qasim to off load LPG at EVTL and Furnace Oil at FOTCO on June 21, port sources said here on Saturday.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 57 percent at the Port on Friday where a total of eight ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican Bey- Powership, M.V Sam Tiger, M.T Asphalt Merchant, M.V Titan, M.T Lahore, M.T Gas ESCO, M.V Zea Hai 505, M.V Alitis are currently occupying berths to load/ offload cement, LPG, furnace oil, rice, soyabean seed, bitumen.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a Cargo volume 71069 tonnes comprising 65781 tonnes import and 5288 tonnes export was handled during the last 24 hours.

M.T Gas ESCO sailed on Saturday morning.

M.V President Polk at QICT and M.T Southern IBIS at EVTL (arrival expected) on Saturday, the port sources said.
