ISTANBUL: The Turkish lira weakened to 2.25 against its euro/dollar basket on Friday from 2.2443 a day earlier on continuing concerns driven by the US Federal Reserve signalling it would wind down its bond-buying stimulus.

Against the dollar, the Turkish currency eased to 1.9380 from 1.9363 late on Thursday, having touched an all-time weakest level of 1.9420 overnight.
