LSE downs by 120.82 points

LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 120.82 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4555.68 and closed at 4434.86 points.

The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 7.442 million shares to close against previous turnover of 8.936 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.494 million shares. While, out of the total 93 active scrips only 9 moved up, 41 remined equal with 43 shed values.

Pak Elektron Limited, Honda Atlas Cars (Pak) Limited and EMCO Industries Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Re 1.00, Re 0.33 and Re 0.27 respectively.

Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Engro Corporation Limited lost their per share value by Rs 12.30, Rs 11.10 and Rs 4.24 respectively.

The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R) with 2.933 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 1.074 million shares and Bank Alfalah Limited with 576,500 shares.
