Lahore Stock Exchange up by 27.71 points

LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 27.71 points as the LSE-25 Index opened with 4191.93 and closed at 4319.64 points.

The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 10.209 million shares to close against previous turnover of 10.986 million shares, showing a downward slide of 777,300 shares. While, out of the total 107 active scrips, 43 moved up, 48 remained equal with 16 shed values.

Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 12.20, Rs 10.50 and Rs 9.20, respectively.

Saritow Spinning Mills Limited, Arif Habib Corporation Limited and Pervez Ahmed Securities Limited lost their per share value by Re 0.36, Re 0.25 and Re 0.21 respectively.

The Volume Leader of the day included Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 2.264 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 2.098 million shares and Southern Electric Power with 742,500 shares.
