Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships carrying edible oil and furnace oil were berthed at Liquid Cargo and FOTCO Terminals respectively on Sunday, port sources said here on Monday.

The sources further said one more ship carrying furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 25 percent at the port on Monday where a total of three ships namely Maersk Detroit, Heng Xin and MT. Akaki are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, edible oil and furnace oil respectively.

A cargo volume of 65586 tonnes comprising 62310 tonnes imports and 3276 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 420 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
