Zeti's fresh term will start from May 1, Bank Negara Malaysia said in a statement. She has held the position since May 2000.
The central bank has forecast Malaysia's economy to expand between five and six percent this year, spurred largely by strong domestic demand, although slower than the 7.2 percent expansion in 2010.
The export-dependent economy suffered a 1.7 percent contraction in 2009 due to the global slowdown.
Zeti said last month that inflation in Southeast Asia's third-largest economy could increase further in 2011 to average between 2.5 and 3.5 percent, driven primarily by rising global commodity and energy prices.
Inflation in 2010 stood at 1.7 percent.
