Three more ships with containers, palm oil and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was maintained at the Port at 57% on Monday where eight ships namely C.V Nysted Maersk, C.V Maersk Wyming, M.V Styliani, M.V Phutai-19, M.V Faith, M.V Stalt Solingen, M.V Inlaco Brave and M.T Karachi were berthed at PQA berths to load/ offload containers, rice, cement, sand crush and furnace oil during the last 24 hours.
Cargo handling registered an upward trend at the Port where a cargo volume of 136,786 tonnes comprising 100,057 tonnes imports and 36,786 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 3,080 containers (1,891 imports and 1,189 exports TEUs) were handled during last 24 hours.
Two ships Sealand Newyork and M.T Bunga Allium carrying containers and palm oil are expected to take berths at Container Terminal and Liquid Terminal respectively on Tuesday.
While C.V Al- Noof is due to arrive at Port Qasim the same day and C.V CMA CGM Verdi is due to arrive on Wednesday.
