The world's biggest automaker had said last week it would resume production at all of its domestic plants from April 18, building about half the planned volumes due to a shortage of parts after the magnitude-9.0 earthquake hit many suppliers last month.

It will stick to plans to suspend output during the factories' "Golden Week" holidays from April 28 to May 9. Production plans beyond June 3 will be determined based on parts availability, a spokeswoman said.
