Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal, Multi Purpose Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal during the last 24 hours, port sources said here Wednesday.

Five more ships scheduled to load/ offload containers, cement, wheat and G. cargo also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 55% at the Port on Wednesday where total number of six namely Abu Dhabi, CGM Debussy, Sun Bright, Al Salam II, Rong Zhou and Feng Hai-I are currently occupying berth to load/ offload containers, rice, diesel oil and edible oil respectively.

A cargo volume of 77181 tonnes comprising 45368 tonnes imports and 30135 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1677 containers (Boxes) were handles at the Port during the last 24 hours.
