Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships arrived at the port to load/ offload containers at QICT, palm oil at MW-1 on Friday, port sources said here Saturday.

Berth occupancy was 64% at the Port on Friday where a total of nine ships namely M.V KPS-I Alican Bey-Powership, M.T Chem Road Nova, M.T Argent Bloom, M.T Dong-A-Iris, M.V Michaelas, M.V Nedlloyd Drake, M.V Cape Flores, M.V Union Mariner, and M.V Recon Emere are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, palm oil, canola seed and wheat.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 47930 tonnes comprising 34415 tonnes import, 13515 tonnes exports and (14227) Tues was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

M.V Michael-S, M.T Dong-A-Iris sailed on Friday, afternoon M.V Nedlloyd Drake, M.T Chem Road Nova sailed on Saturday morning.

M.T Maritime Yanessa at Lct M.V Ayala at Qict arrived on Saturday as per schedule.
