Four more ships carrying container, cement and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port on Wednesday where a total of seven ships namely M.V Asir, Sealand Washington, Nedlloyd Hudson, Sea Gull, Anthea, Asian Express and Bunga Aster are currently occupying berths to load/ offload containers, cement and edible oil respectively.
A cargo volume of 84222 tonnes comprising 32208 tonnes imports and 52014 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 3445 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
