KSE 100-Index down 400 points

A downward trend was witnessed in the KSE 100-Index with a 17,491.63 low from 18,059.09 closing at 17,522.56 after the decline.

The bearish trend continued during the week over the general election, which is just around the corner and with the government about to be dissolved next week not to mention the security situation in the city and investors' profit-taking attitude.

The Index closed at 17,964.18 points from 18,185.19 points a week earlier.

According to analysts, the bears returned after a bull run of seven weeks, with the bourse market down by 1.2 percent on weekly basis amid deteriorating law and order situation of the city.
