Four more ship scheduled to load/ offload containers, rice, chemicals and diesel oil also arrived at the outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.

 

Berth occupancy was observed at the port at 36% on Tuesday where five ships namely C.V CMA CGM Moliere, C.V Hanjin Sandiego, C.V Nedlloys Tasman, M.V Mercy Wisdom and M.T Mercur are currently occupying PQA berths to load/ offload containers, wheat and chemicals.

 

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 103,494 tonnes, comprising 56,754 tonnes imports and 46,740 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 4,960 containers (2,500 imports and 2,460 exports TEUs) were handled at the port.

 

Four ships C.V CMA CGM Moliere, C.V Hanjin Sandiego, C.V Nedlloys Tasman and M.T Mercur are expected to sail on Wednesday.

 

Four ships C.V CMA Strauss, MV Denny-Z, M.T Karachi and M.T Anette Kosan scheduled to load/ offload containers, rice, furnace oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Container Terminal, Grain and Fertilizer Terminal, FOTCO Terminal and Engro Terminal respectively on Wednesday, while two more ships C.V Hammonia and C.V New Delhi Express are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday, And Mycenae and Lahore are due to arrive on Friday.
