BAGHDAD: Ten people were killed by bombs and a gun attack in Iraq on Monday, five of them policemen, said an official who also reported 36 people wounded in the incidents in Baghdad and Fallujah.

"There were three incidents in Fallujah, killing four policemen and two other people. In addition, 25 people were wounded," the interior ministry official said.

He said one was a car bomb, and the other two improvised bombs.

In Baghdad, a police lieutenant colonel was killed in his vehicle by an attacker using a gun fitted with a silencer.
