The sale was split across three bonds maturing in 2015, 2026 and 2040 the first time since May 2011 that the Treasury has offered a 30-year BTP in a regular auction.

 

 

 

The sale included 3.45 billion euros of bonds maturing in December 2015. The gross yield was 2.3 percent, the highest since December 2012 and compared with 1.85 percent at a sale of the same bond in January. The bid/cover ratio a measure of investor demand fell to 1.373 from 1.447.
