Commissioner Karachi for selling ‘atta’ on govt fixed rates

He issued the directive to this effect to all the deputy commissioners.

 

Zaidi was presiding over a meeting to ensure stability in the price of "atta" as per the directive of Sindh Chief Minister, said a statement on Tuesday.

 

He directed the deputy commissioners in Karachi to ensure the sale of "atta' at the ex-mill rate of Rs 33 per kg and at retail rate of Rs 34.50 in their respective jurisdictions.

 

Zaidi directed that action be initiated against profiteers and a report in this regard be sent to him on daily basis.

 

He further instructed that it be ensured that the millers and the retailers are selling "atta" at the government-fixed rates.

 

Zaidi also called for action against those indulging in hoarding.
