Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Meanwhile four more ships with containers, fertiliser, palm oil and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim the same day.

 

Berth occupancy was reported at the Port at 43% on Monday where seven ships namely C.V Maersk Kalamata, C.V Abu Dhabi, C.V Nedlloyed Tasman, M.V Meta, M.V Liberty Eagle, M.T Lahore are currently occupying at berths to load/ offload container, wheat, rice, chemicals and furnace oil.

 

A record cargo handling was achieved at the Port where a cargo volume of 141,568 tonnes, comprising 101,611 tonnes import and 39,957 tonnes exports inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 4,409 containers (2,354 imports and 2,055 exports TEUs) were handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.

 

Three ships M.T Bhairavi, M.T Lahore and C.V Maersk Kalamata sailed out to sea on Wednesday morning while three more ships C.V Abu Dhabi, C.V Nedlloyed Tasman and M.V Meta are expected to sail in the afternoon the same day.

 

Three ships C.V CMA CGM Wagner, M.T Chemroad Mega sailed out on Wednesday.

 

While two more container ships CMA CGM Eiffel and Michaelas are due arrive at Port Qasim on Thursday.
