PABF can play role in strengthening Pak-Australia trade relations

This was stated by Australian High Commissioner to Pakistan Mr. Timothy George while addressing a meeting at Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) here on Monday.

He said that PABF was established last year and now its website would be launched in May which would help in getting easy and speedy information.

He said that Australia has an estimated population of 23 million people and it is ranked among developed countries.

He said that exchange of trade delegations can play a dynamic role in national progress of Pakistan.

In this connection, Australian embassy will provide all-out assistance for the issuance of visas; he said and added that PABF will organize a seminar on "Investment Opportunities in Australia" in Faisalabad soon.

Australian government is considered to provide educational opportunities to Pakistani students in Australian institutions, he added.

Earlier, former President FCCI Mian Javaid Iqbal in his welcome address highlighted the importance of bilateral relations between the two countries.

He said that there are huge opportunities for foreign investors to invest in energy and agriculture sectors in Pakistan.

Later, a memento of the Chamber was presented to the Australian High Commissioner.
