Following reports that a Pakistani man was among the three new cases reported this week in New Zealand, Pakistanis have expressed their dismay saying that the country should send the man back to Pakistan.

New Zealand has reported three new coronavirus cases this week after a 24-day break no case streak. One of them is a man who arrived from Lahore in New Zealand.

According to reports, the man who is in his 60s, arrived in Auckland from Pakistan on June 13 on Flight NZ-124, transiting through Doha and Melbourne.

After the news broke, Pakistanis took to Twitter and apologized. However, New Zealanders were not as harsh, with one writing that no one is blaming Pakistan for the new case.
